my fear is the democrats will try to use this a political gain and that is so very wrong both to the military and for this good event.
It turns a great event into worthless BS. It was just luck of the draw that a Dem was in power when this happen and it was only a matter of time. I already am watching some people try to turn it into political gain and it makes me sick.
And if a Republican was in office when it happened, you don't think they would have tried to use it for political gain?

The 8800GS was actually the 8800M GTS, the second-highest model GPU in nVidia's mobile lineup at the time. The HD5750M in the previous iMac was actually a HD5850M or the second-highest model GPU in ATI's mobile lineup at that time. So Apple hasn't been skimping up to now on top-end options. Admittedly, the HD6970M is notable because it's actually the top-end mobile GPU, so we have climbed up a rung in the ladder.
The issue I think most users have is not the actual chipset which Apple does pick well the complement a fast Intel CPU is how much RAM they put with it.
Really 512MB is pretty weak IMHO... 1GB should be standard across all models, while 2GB on 27" in a nice addition.

There are many reasons for this. The crowd of Apple lovers wanted more from Macworld than what they got, and the market has been terrible lately. Their second quarter revenue predictions were very conservative, and some people think they have shone the brightest they will ever, and just don't think their worth it. I disagree, but as much as I would like to be, I'm not the stock market.

After really looking at the photo, either Micro**** literally gave the 3G iPod plastic surgery or that is completely Photoshopped. It is SO similar to the 3G iPod with added ugliness to make it Genuine Micro****.
After looking at that photo I believe it's an ergonomic nightmare. Well, maybe not exactly a nightmare but certainly it's not the most ergonomic of designs. Having the play/pause button on the bottom right like that forces your thumb into an unnatural position to operate it.
Bearing this in mind, I proclaim this image REAL!!! :D
Only Microsoft would produce a design as dumb as that.
Lets hope when it ships they get class action after class action for people claiming it gives them RSI

Exactly. It's more than just the $5 for the app and the data cap/bandwidth issues. It is wear and tear on a machine that has to be left on 24/7. It is the hydro cost of running that machine 24/7 instead of turning it off when you go out (this alone may well add up to more than $20/year!) If you don't want your main machine on 24/7 then it is the cost of another Mac mini or NAS or other device to act as the server instead.
It is also wear and tear on your 2 TB drive that has to be on 24/7, as opposed to working more like a backup drive that's only activated occasionally to back up your music files. It is the hassle of ensuring AudioGalaxy and your server and your ISP internet connection are all up and running when you need them to be (dealing with power outages, internet outages, maintenance, restarts, software updates, etc.)
$20/year might well be worth it for the uptime and hydro considerations alone.

Why would you want to limit the carriers? How would that make the experience of the phone better for you?
I mean even if you don't like AT&T and prefer Verizon, how does this affect you now that there is a Verizon phone that there is an AT&T one?
So you basically want those of us who actually like being on AT&T to be left without the choice for something that would not even benefit you? How frikkin selfish!

Really good to see the update (finally)... but I am disappointed they didn't bring the 24" back :(
The 27" is too big, and the resolution on the 21.5 is laughable for an upgrade of this magnitude.
Still, quad core across the range is nice.

I am badly in need for a new iDevice. My last device was the iPod Touch 1st Generation. I am planning to get both the iPhone and iPad, but will only get one now and wait for the other one in the next update.
So which is better now?
Get iPhone 4 White, and wait for iPad 3�
or
Get iPad 2, and wait for iPhone 5?
I am leaning towards the first option because the iPhone 4 feels like a revolution while the iPad 2 feels like a small upgrade and I wish it has a retina screen. But on the other hand, the iPhone 4 feels old now and iPad 2 just released.
I just ordered the iPad 2, white, and have an iPhone 4, personally either option works fine, every time a new product comes out the old one (if in good shape) sells for a real good price and can pretty much be flipped for a new one, got 220 for my iphone 3g when the iphone 4 came out
